The fastest and easiest shelter to erect has been made even better with the introduction of the extraordinary Tempest Rapid Shelter. At the centre of the tent is the famous patented hinge block, making set-up quick and easy. Set-up time, usability and functionality have been dramatically improved with the Rapid Knuckle system, allowing all five main poles to be locked in one easy action.

Simple and secure, erecting your shelter has never been easier. Additional enhancements to the Rapid Shelter include an integrated canopy to minimise water ingress around the door, and its size can be increased to allow even greater coverage with the addition of a Skull Cap.

The rear of the shelter has been made flatter than its predecessor, offering an optimum balance between internal storage space, the ability to adapt to positions and aerodynamics. Airflow through the shelter has been improved with adaptive ventilation across six openings (four at the rear and two at the front), facilitating airflow even when it's raining.

To keep cooler in summer, the four rear openings can be secured with sardines to create shaded areas, which, when used with a Skull Cap, can reduce the internal temperature by several degrees. For optimum storage, there are four internal pockets, two on each side and two at the front. Those at the front include a suspension loop where you can stow essentials such as your receiver or even your jacket for a quick outing in uncertain weather.

Adaptive Ventilation™

Evolutionary Ventilation (Adaptive Ventilation) will offer you unparalleled comfort thanks to ventilation that significantly reduces condensation. 4 rear vents combined with the mosquito net give you 360° ventilation. If the weather turns nasty, the ventilation system can be half-opened for ventilation but no rain. You'll also sleep better in a ventilated shelter. You can open or close the vents completely, or half-open them using the rigid reinforcements (if the weather turns bad but you still need ventilation). You can also close the door window from above when you're under a Skull Cap to create a letterbox vent. With the vents half open, this will create high and low ventilation points to promote air circulation and reduce condensation

The Tempest RS Brolly Infill simply zips to the front in seconds and features double-zipped doors, allowing you to create a letterbox opening in addition to the classic door style.

The vents on either side of the door feature adaptive ventilation for maximum airflow around your enclosure. Its lightweight, compact design makes it easy to store.

Enhance your award-winning Tempest RS shelter with a full overwrap. Constructed from our special thermal edition Aquatexx fabric for enhanced heat retention, this is the must have accessory for your autumn and winter campaigns. Once fitted over your Tempest it creates a full twin-skin covering, which significantly helps to maintain a constant comfortable internal temperature.

In addition to the improved insulation, the Wrap also significantly reduces condensation inside your shelter. The Wrap also creates a little extra storage room either side of the door, perfect for your waders or a bucket or two.

Optimal protection in all conditions

The front of the Wrap can be adapted to suit your needs, with a door that can be zipped up, zipped down and the sides can be rolled back fully if you prefect a more open front with enhanced visibility. The addition of a peak with gutter over the door offers some additional protection from the elements when the door configured letterbox style. The Wrap comes supplied with a carry bag, pegs and a clear window.
