Developed specifically for Scope rod fans who fish at longer ranges the GTL 8000 brings a long tapered casting spool to the proven saltwater engineering specification of Scope reels.

Ever since their development it has been clear that only casting technique limits the ability to fish well in excess of 100 yards with 9 and 10 foot Scope rod models. Now the GTL 8000 provides the perfect partner when fishing to the limit – with clinical slow oscillation line lay for low friction line release and increased distances when casting – with the added benefit of increased line capacity for long range boat work where rigs need to be positioned hundreds of metres out.
