The Horizon range has for many years been synonymous with absolute performance in terms of rods, with the Horizon X5 peaking at the top, and with this desire to always improve our products, we have tasked our development team with optimising this series which now becomes the Horizon X5 S.

Aesthetically, the main differences are the K-Series rings from 16mm to 50mm in a stylish Gunsmoke finish, identical to the new Fuji 18mm DPS reel seat. The K-Series rings are essential for performance, reducing the risk of line tangles and line breaks on casts, allowing the line to pass evenly to improve casting distance and accuracy.

Benefiting from the latest carbon shaping technology, the Horizon X5 S rods have been developed around a thinner, lighter and stronger blank with exceptional power. The blank is built around an ultra high modulus carbon using multiple layers of a thin carbon mat and a nanofibre for assembly. The processes used to bond these layers allow for a faster compression return optimising casting distance and accuracy without compromising the rod's fighting action, greatly reducing the risk of stalling. 

All joints are fitted with carbon reinforcement zones to ensure the rod's strength and longevity, while the blank is completed with a carbon wrap for a clean finish and exceptional quality.
