The Whisker is a new addition to the Daiwa long distance reel range. This product brings together everything a demanding carp angler would expect from an all-round reel for different approaches to carp fishing.

The DS 4 composite body houses a lightweight yet rigid Zaïon V composite rotor. The crank is foldable for easy storage in the carrying cases. The QD front drag has been reworked to improve its progressiveness.

The reel comes with two extra spools, one of which has a capacity of 700m of 0.35mm line to store enough line for fishing in very large lakes.

Air Rotor

Balance, robustness and sensitivity characterize the Air-Rotor.

Its arch profile, 15% lighter than a standard rotor, offers optimal rotational fluidity and eliminates vibrations thanks to a lower center of gravity.

Zaïon

Some Daiwa frames and rotors are made of Zaion, an exclusive material composed of high density carbon, anti-corrosion and lighter and more resistant than magnesium.

TB2 Twist Buster

The TB2 pickup roller has been developed by Daiwa and precision tooled to guarantee optimal line lay.

The system reduces the risks of linespin on the retrieve by 90%.
